Some results regarding PCSI transmissions over APRS network

PCSI proves to be an efficient method of transmitting small images over APRS radio network. An 160x99px image can be recovered with enough accuracy even 25% of packets are lost.

The above tests were performed at a transmission rate of 4 packets per minute, in order to avoid APRS network congestion. Also, the length of the APRS packet info was set at 128 bytes, instead the 256 bytes configured default by the software's author, KD9PDP.
